WHERE TO START

Where would you like to start?

Whether you’re preparing a simple Will or managing a complex estate, our experienced team offers clear, compassionate advice across all aspects of inheritance planning, asset protection, and estate administration.

I need a will

For anyone who has never made one, or whose circumstances have changed. We prepare your Will, Power of Attorney and Enduring Guardianship together so nothing is left open.

I am an executor

Someone has died and you need to apply for probate or administer the estate. We tell you what is required, what it costs, and how long it takes.

I have a business, trust or blended family

Assets held in a company or trust do not pass under a Will. We structure your estate so your intentions actually hold.

OUR FEES

What it costs

We publish our fees so you know the cost before you get in touch. No surprises.

Will (basic)

$630 + GST

Power of Attorney & Enduring Guardianship

$315 + GST

Fixed fees, plus GST. If your circumstances need more than a basic Will, we confirm the fee in writing before we start.

WHAT WE DO

Wills and end-of-life planning

We draft Wills, Powers of Attorney and Enduring Guardianship documents, and update them when your circumstances change.

Estate administration

Probate applications and Letters of Administration, advice to executors, handling estate assets and debts, and contested estates.

Trusts and structuring

FAQs

Common questions

DIY Wills frequently lead to disputes. A solicitor makes sure your Will is valid, clear, and does what you intend. If it is challenged after your death, the cost of defending it falls on your estate.

Yes. Review it every few years, and always after marriage, divorce, a birth, a death, or a significant change in assets. Marriage revokes an existing Will in NSW unless it was made in contemplation of that marriage.

Your estate is distributed under the intestacy rules in the Succession Act, not according to your wishes. Someone must apply to the Supreme Court for Letters of Administration before anything can be dealt with, which adds time and cost.

Superannuation does not automatically form part of your estate. It is paid at the trustee’s discretion unless you have a valid binding death benefit nomination in place. We check this as part of any estate plan.

A Power of Attorney gives someone authority over your financial and legal affairs. An Enduring Guardianship covers health and lifestyle decisions if you lose capacity. Most people need both.

You identify and secure the assets, apply for probate if it is required, pay the debts and tax, and then distribute what remains to the beneficiaries. You are personally accountable for getting it right. We highly recommend you review the “When is probate required in NSW” article on our website before you start.

Approximately four to six weeks for the Supreme Court to grant probate once a complete application is filed, assuming it is not requisitioned. Administering the estate afterwards usually takes several months.

No. Assets held by a trust or a company are not yours to leave. Control of the trust or the shares passes separately, which is why succession planning sits alongside the Will rather than inside it.

If you hold significant assets, a business, or a trust, yes. We work alongside your accountant so the structure and the tax position line up.

Eligible people, including spouses, children and certain dependants, can make a family provision claim. A well-drafted Will and clear documentation of your reasoning reduces the risk and gives your executor something to work with.
